The F-2-7 points-based resident visa is a residence status that may be applied for by applicants who obtain 80 points or more out of a total of 170 points.
Eligibility: Holders of E-1, E-2, E-3, E-4, E-5, E-6, E-7, D-5, D-6, D-7, D-8, or D-9 visas(However, E-6-2, E-7-2, E-7-3, and E-7-4 visa holders are excluded.)

*In cases where the applicant holds a master’s degree or higher, and within five (5) years of obtaining the degree, has secured employment or is currently employed under an E- or D-series visa
*K-STAR Visa Track: An advanced talent attraction visa track for foreign students in science and engineering who have obtained a Master or Ph. D. degree in Korea.

○ Basic Competencies (Max. 20 points)
*Holders of TOPIK Level 3 may connect it with KIIP Level 4, and after passing the Comprehensive Evaluation Test for Permanent Residency, may change their status to F-5-1.
*Because the annual income category carries a very high weighting, high-income applicants may meet the required score even if they lack sufficient Korean language proficiency or long-term residence history.

*History of violations of the Immigration Control Act, History of fines or criminal punishment, Violations of status of stay or record of illegal stay, History of submitting false or fraudulent documents, etc., If any disqualifying grounds, such as criminal records, exist among family members, visa issuance may be restricted.
